Nudos
'NUDOS'. A work by Diana López Soto in development that examines body-space relationships; co-dependencies, physiology and balance. 'NUDOS' invites us to embody the material and the depth of our relationships.
NUDOS (knots) is a contemporary dance and theatre exploration inspired by the meanings, translation and etymology of the word itself in relationship to personal and universal stories. The investigation of NUDOS is the result of movement, imagery and stories that speak of ties to home, roots, relationships, and body. During the development of the work performers research the duality of knots; discovering, disseminating and experiencing their physical and psychological limits. These limits are also support systems that inform our choices and values, giving us a reference and a sense of identity while creating blockages in the energy paths within our bodies. The work plays with imagery and iconography of power, space deconstruction and visual geometry while exploring the challenge and support of movement within the ties.
